Rejoice! We reached out to a shelter for abused women and shared with them our vision of bringing a little bit of joy and appreciation to these women who have had to carry the weight of the world on their shoulders. And the shelter received our vision with open arms and has asked to meet with me so that we can figure out the best way to serve their community. Our community serving their community.
Does life get any better than this?

rejoicing with you - love the picture!
i doubt it.
pretty exciting!
seriously, little tears of joy.
so i have been thinking all this through, your situation with Lilies of the Valley and how excited you are. How you truly feel like this is a calling, and i have to agree.
i have questioned so many times why belli fiori was not coming into being, not prospering the way i thought it should, or the way that you wanted it to - but as i have been here at north park, i have come to a conclusion. as i was reading through my intro to youth ministry book, i came across a quote, and at first i only saw it in reference to myself - but as time has passed and i have read all about your new journey and really thought about it, i saw it in a whole new light.
the quote is:
"God normally calls us along the lines of our
giftedness, but the purpose of giftedness is
stewardship and service, not selfishness."
i am not saying that before you were being selfish, but what i am saying that your ability to put together arrangements is a huge gift that the Lord has blessed you with, and that belli fiori was a business set on pleasing one person, as where Lilies of the Valley is set on pleasing and serving others. i think you got it right this time Lucy, the Lord has many wonderful things planned for you! Get excited, because i believe that you will be blessed more than you can imagine. I am so proud of you and so proud to call you my sister.
i love you dearly, know that. oh and get excited for october 13-19th, your little sister is coming home! :)
